The BBC has a very good interactive map about the effects of climate change on the planet. It gives you case studies of places and other factors including coasts, industry, food, health and water. It would make an excellent revision aid for GCSE.

The death toll has now moved into the 1000's in the aftermath of Cyclone Sidr. The category 4 storm devastated the extremely low lying southern coast of Bangladesh - home to over 5 million people - on the night of 15th November. As it is powered by Google maps you can zoom in and out to see the national, regional or local picture. In fact, it is possible to zoom right out and view the whole planet – zooming back in to other countries if desired.
