What are the effects of climate change?

BBC Interactive MapThe BBC has a very good interactive map about the effects of climate change on the planet. It gives you case studies of places and other factors including coasts, industry, food, health and water. It would make an excellent revision aid for GCSE.

How might sea level change effect the UK?

Here is a link to the map/satelite images we were using in class today. The map/image is able to show potential flood implications of sea level rise between 2 and 14 metres. As it is powered by Google maps you can zoom in and out to see the national, regional or local picture. In fact, it is possible to zoom right out and view the whole planet – zooming back in to other countries if desired. Can you use it to find out which countries will suffer the most from changes in sea level?
